Rejuvenate the skin and stimulate collagen production
PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) facials use your own blood’s platelets and plasma combined with micro-needling to rejuvenate the skin and stimulate collagen production.
The process begins with blood being taken; this is then spun in a centrifuge to separate the red blood cells from the platelet rich plasma. The plasma is what is used in the treatment, this is applied to the skin and micro-needled deep into the skin. Micro-needling itself helps to stimulate collagen so when combined with the PRP this boosts production even further. PRP contains proteins, including growth factors and cytokines. These proteins help skin tissue repair itself.
The procedure is often combined with 20 minutes LED light therapy to optimise results. PRP can treat fine lines and wrinkles, scarring and hair loss and thinning.
