Radiesse is a bio-stimulating treatment. It is made of calcium hydroxylapatite so its different to hyaluronic acid based dermal fillers and is considered semi permanent with long lasting results of up to 18 months. It’s thicker than standard dermal fillers so gives more lift and scaffolding than fillers and creates a bio-rejuvenation process in the skin that can be quantified and measured. Dermal fillers don’t create this same powerful collagen renewal process to leave the skin healthier and more firm over time.
The calcium hydroxylapatite solution in Radiesse helps your body produce new collagen and elastin in the treated areas for results that get better over time. This means treatment with Radiesse will continue to work after your initial procedure is over.
Radiesse is FDA approved to treat the face, neck, décolletage and hands. It is injected with either a needle or cannula and leaves minimal downtime. You can return to work straight away and can return to exercise and wear makeup the day after your treatment.
Most people will be recommended a treatment course of 2-3 initially (4 weeks apart) depending on their skin quality and treatment goals with maintenance every 12-18 months.
Dr Ward will let you know if she thinks you are suitable for this treatment.
Likely volumes of Radiesse required:
Face: 2-3 treatments. Likely will need 2-3 vials depending on areas
Neck: 2 treatments 2 vials
Decolletage: 2 treatments 2 vials
